Got Ballerinas? Here are some fun little girls dance party table ideas that will make any ballerina-princess spin with glee! We were recently asked by eHow.com to come up with some fun and easy party table ideas… including this one for a little girls’ dance party.
Here’s how we did it:
Table runner:
Just cut some wide ribbon in fun colors to match your theme. We used sparkly organza ribbon, and layered 5 lengths together across the table for this colorful, inexpensive table runner.
Centerpiece:
Our ballerina “tutu” is a simple wire wreath form looped with wide pink mesh ribbon. Just secure the mesh ribbon to the form with pipe cleaners. Then we placed a cylinder vase (or whatever vase you have on hand!) in the center of the wreath. We filled the vase with more of the organza ribbon and dropped in a battery-operated floral light strand to make it sparkle. Last, we topped the wreath with colorful daisy heads that we cut off a dollar-store floral bush (we’re big spenders!).
Tablesettings:
Coordinate tablesetting colors with the centerpiece. Check to see what you have on hand before shopping — you can do a lot with simple white plates and napkins like we did here. We used white plastic dishes and cut-glass look plastic champagne glasses for our table settings – the glasses are dressy but kid-safe, and available at any party store. Then we jazzed them up with paper party placemats and added a DIY pink sequin napkin ring.
For the napkin ring, we used stretchy sequin trim from the fabric store and just hot glued them in loops. So sparkly, easy, and inexpensive!
