General Use:
SAN plastic is a blend of acrylic and styrene that produces very durable break- and scratch-resistant food-safe drinkware and tableware. It’s a popular plastic tableware choice for homes and restaurants, indoors and out.

Dishwasher Use:
SAN plastic tableware is designed for years of use in both commercial and residential dishwashers for water temperatures up to 150-degrees F. SAN plastic drinkware and dishes and will not cloud and craze like acrylic glasses.
A note for residential users…
EnergyStar-rated residential dishwashers feature water heating systems that can far exceed commercial temperatures and damage plastic drinkware. Please consult your dishwasher user’s guide for a delicate/lower heat cycle to prevent damage to ALL plasticware.

Scratching and Wear:
Bentley plastic drinkware has a soft frost finish that resists scratches and retains its look for years. Bentley plastic plates and bowls are very durable but can scratch when used with knives. Melamine plastic dishes are better for heavy use with knives, see our Plastic Tableware section for melamine plates and bowls.
